Rioplatense describes the culture of a region on both sides of the Rio de le Plata that produces crops and cattle but also tango music, avant garde literature and arts as well as modern architecture and design. The minimalist landscape of plains and waters of the region inspired the building of modern artifacts that borrowed ideas, images, and materials from different parts of the world to shape eclectic cityscapes. Registrants will receive full access to view the 15th World Congress on Art Deco Magazine (see below) upon registration!
During this event we will premiere Art Deco Rioplatense, a documentary film produced by Copperbridge Foundation (CBF) about the art deco jewels of Argentina and Uruguay and expands on the Art Deco phenomenon, followed by an examination of these works by world-renown experts, Fabio Grementieri – Argentine Architect,Member of the National Commission of Monuments of Argentina and Professor at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and William Rey Ashfield– Architect, Montevideo Modern Heritage, Doctor in Art History, Uruguayan Host, and Author.
