VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
MCAD is recruiting volunteers who love people, history, architecture, and Miami! We provide training and mentoring to potential tour guides who give 1.5-hour walking tours in the downtown Miami core, telling the history of the area’s buildings, the people who built them and the people who live and work in the area.
WHAT QUALITIES DO WE LOOK FOR IN A TOUR GUIDE?
Seeking fun, people-loving volunteer tour guides, who are physically able to conduct a 1.5-hour walking tour. Experience with or strong interest in: Architecture, Art History, Miami History, City Planning.
TIME COMMITMENT:
- 4 hours of training
- 3 hours (two tours) as a trainee
- Once fully trained, the volunteer must commit to leading a minimum of one Saturday tour per month
